My goodness. A high-end Baskin-Robbins? What next?

(Aug. 29, 2008)—Cafe 31, announced today, is Baskin-Robbins' answer to the fancy-schmancy (well, sort of) dessert place. You know, the kind offering fondues, foo-foo cakes and other delectables that will be prepared by in-store pastry chefs.

It's the fast-casual concept for the venerable ice-cream chain.

In Foxborough, Mass., a prototype store opened today at Patriot Place, and so far it offers items ranging from $3.95 - $5.95.

If you want to share a chocolate fondue, the price runs about $11.95.

Hmm. Sounds like the latest venture in Dunkin' Brands brand might rank as a viable top-off to an evening of a fine meal.
